Collection on American Catholicism, 1862-1937.

This collection is comprised of correspondence, photographs, retreats for first Communicants, and sermons. Sermons make up the greater part of the collection and include topics such as All Saints' Day, the Blessed Virgin Mary, Christmas, the Immaculate Conception, and the Rosary. Only one sermon is signed, and it is signed by Thomas S. Lee - who also has a letter in the correspondence section of the collection. The photographs include portraits of Bishop Robert Paine and the Most Rev. M.J. Curley, D.D. Most of the correspondence belongs to Miss Helene Philbert.
